Nobody Yet rocked the All Saints Episcopal Church for a cancer fundraiser on June 8.

One of DCML’s favorite Philly-based rock bands, Nobody Yet (RELATED STORIES:  Review:  Nobody Yet Give One Good Performance At B.A.D.D.) was back in the area this weekend to play a benefit show to raise money for cancer research. All Saints Episcopal church, located 30 minutes outside the District in Huntingtown, Md., was packed with an all-ages crowd out in support of host Carol Lowe, whose father passed away from liver cancer last month.

Newly acquired drummer Matt Zavorski meshes well musically with members Joe Humeas (lead guitar/vox), Alaap Parikh (guitar) and Ryan Hansen (bass). His outgoingness and flare behind the kit completes the ensemble perfectly, incorporating the circus-like antics of fellow band mates into his playing style. In typical fashion, the set was explosive and engaging, the crowd seemed mesmerized at times by lead singer Humeas’s untamed stage presence. A majority of their set came from their debut album, which is set to release July 1.

Overall, the show proved to be a huge success. Our condolences go out to the Lowe family.
