D.C.’s first annual VinoFest is set to rock its inaugural event on Saturday (June 28th) with a full-bodied blend music culture, and — of course — wine. The festival will take place at Union Market, and will feature musical performances from Jesse Boykins III, Eric Hilton (Thievery Corporation) and more.
VinoLovers, the D.C.-based wine subscription start-up, hopes to unite local wine and music enthusiasts with the curated festival that brings together a multitude of boutique local and imported wines, food vendors and musical performances.
VinoFest is open to the public, and kicks off at 2 p.m. with tickets ranging from $55 for General Admission, $75 for Full Access (wine tasting plus concert) and $125 VIP which includes premiere access and special giveaways in addition to the wine tasting and concert.
Each attendee will be able to participate in a four-hour wine tasting (2 p.m. to 6 p.m.) that includes eight 2oz. pours, and also a complimentary glass of sparkling wine.
Musical performers include Eric Hilton of Thievery Corporation, Jesse Boykins III, See-I, Jetty, DJ Spinser Tracy, Clairy Browne And The Bangin’ Rackettes, Body Language, and Bonnie Rash.
A portion of VinoFest’s proceeds will be given to Bike2theBeach and Dreams for Kids D.C.
