Meet Emma-- [image error] British girl Emma escaped from England, went to the US to live with her cousin Ashley. The thing is, Ashley's friend is their neighbor upstairs. Not a she, but a HE. Her life turned upside down when she met him... Meet Scott Mason-- [image error] FVCK HOT. Intense. Tattooed frontman of the band From Under. And like any other rockstar, he's also a MANWHORE. He treats females like he does a cigarette; light it, use it, and lose it. But, he's drawn to Emma, and her to him. Somehow, they became "Friends" and Emma saw a different side of him. He was such a dick when it came to girls but with his friends and me, he was totally different. It was as though he was two people sometimes. To the outside world he was Scott Mason; bad boy and womaniser. In private, he was Scott Mason; caring and loyal friend. He had taken place in my thoughts and I was used to him being there. And from there, their disastrous love story begins... OHHHH, THE DRAMA! GAAAHHHHH! Remember when I said that Bad Rep pissed the living shit out of me? Well, multiply that by 10 and that's how I felt while reading this book. Most frustrating book by far!!! I swear, 80% of the book contained these scenes: 1. Emma's mantra being: I want nothing to do with Scott. Scott thinking he has no chance with Emma, makes out/dance suggestively with random girls in front of her. 2. Emma gets jealous, eye fvcking him while dancing with another guy. 3. Emma gets into trouble because of a random guy, Scott --to the rescue! 4. That leaves the two of them having convos bout "being friends" while the sexual tension rises. 5. Scott clearly suggesting she has a thing for her, but Emma pushes him away. *Repeat Steps 1-5* OVER AND OVER AGAIN But, I love torturing myself so I kept on reading. Despite of that, I still like this book. It's full of angst and sexual tension. But, I don't think it's that great, but it's worth reading. Oh my. I'm not making any sense. One thing's for sure: THIS BOOK PISSED ME OFF!!! Well, I blame Scott for everything. (view spoiler)[ If he would've stopped manwhoring, prove that he really LOVE Emma, and say those words STAT, then maybe they'll get together sooner. DAMN IT! This guy is infuriating. (hide spoiler)] Borrowing a famous quote from Gossip Girl that I think is really apt for the book: 3 words. 8 letters. Say it, and I'm yours. If you've read this, you know what I mean. Enough said. That's all for now. I'll get back on this review tomorrow. 3.5 STARS!

5 SCOTT MASON STARS. "I’ve committed every part of you to memory, did you know that? You’re so fucking beautiful that sometimes I can’t see straight. I want you so bad, I can’t take this shit ... I want you to be mine and I want to be yours.” If I could give this book more than five stars I would. 'Rocked under' had me hooked at chapter one right up until the amazing end, I loved everything about it and if possible even more on my second time of reading. Talk about drama this book had its fill and extras to go on the side, But make no mistake that I am head over heels with this little beauty, I was less than halfway through this book when it had already claimed a huge FIVE STARS from me. So what's it all about? 'Rocked under' is the story of Emma and Scott, an intense drama filled story of love and life, a journey of two hearts which shows the reality that sometimes falling in love isn't easy or pain free, its sometimes painful, heartbreaking and it doesn't always lead us to our perfect ever after. Emma is looking for her fresh start, she believes a move to the states to live with her cousin and close friend is her chance to move away from her hurtful past. Determined and focused Emma has made her goals clear that she will be independent and free of any man ruling her future again. Things are working well for Emma That is, until Scott Mason walks into her life. Scott Mason is the lead singer of rock band, bad boy to the extreme Emma knows her her worst and best nightmare is wrapped up in one very tempting Scott Mason package. Emma and Scott find themselves drawn to each other in this battle of love. Will this unlikely couple be able to overcome everything they face in this dramatic love story? Will fear, insecurity and bad choices make it impossible for them to find each other. What did I love? This book was the best mix of British/American, I absolutely loved the characters and I most certainly have a new found crush on the over protective yummy Scott Mason, Cora Hawkes deserves a medal for creating this scrumptious book boyfriend (Tad overboard?, probably but I was 100% SOLD.) This story ticked so many of my 'perfect for this genre' boxes ~ Drawn out heartache NO INSTA LOVE, a male rock star lead that hit my top five book boyfriends list, humorous British lingo, will they/wont they fall in love drama, off the scales sexual tension, forever kind of Love and not forgetting Heart thumping, toe curling love scenes. Final thoughts ... I simply can not deny that I am unable to resist a book about a bad boy falling head over for his girl, this book delivers a story about just that and I was sold. I one hundred million percent loved this book. Would I recommend this story? Yes. Will I be re-reading? one hundred million percent YES. READ IT! *Additonal Note to my new found favourite author, this is a polite request for More of Scott Mason please, Thank you.*

Move over Travis Maddox because Scott Mason just walked in the room.......and I LOVE him:))))) "From the moment I saw him on the stage, I was a goner. Fantastic...if you love books like Thoughtless and Beautiful Disaster.....this is YOUR book!!!!! It's a constant push and pull...who's going to break, who's going to give in.....who's going to get jealous....have I pushed to far...do I need to push harder. .....until at some point someone is going to BREAK! I'm I making you CRAZY yet......no worries because this book will!!!!!!!!! It's a roller coaster ride from start the very last word!!! Scott Mason is a man-whore, a singer, gorgeous, pain in the ass, mysterious, he cant keep it in his pants either and I secretly love him.....YES dammit he's fabulous................but did I mention "pain in the ass?" “You're right, I’m not your type. I’m not a slut.” I raised my chin defiantly. He turned abruptly, his brows pulling together as he studied me. “What the fuck is with you?" Emma.....sweet sweet Emma! She's just moved to the US from England and she meets Scott after one of his shows at a local hangout. She's already heard ALL about Scott and his exploits because her cousin, Ashley, has known him a LONG time....since elementary school. "I'm Scott, by the way.” “I know. Your reputation precedes you." "So, basically, you sleep around because you can get away with it and you think that having a girlfriend would hold you back and you'd get bored."........ "Why? Were you thinking of applying for the position?" Emma and Scott's story begins and it's fast paced and an absolute train wreck.........which is my recipe for a 5 star book!!! They are crazy about each other and share some very sweet intimate moments, talking and getting to know one another, but it's always in the back of her head, "will he treat me like all the others?" Love me and leave.......would he do that to me? Should I put myself out there to just get hurt? So many questions which lead to so many actions and those actions I just can't talk about:)))). You'll never know until you try Emma!!! You might end up loving this bad boy!! "I want you so bad, I can't take this shit. The first night we met, it was like being hit by a tornado all over again. You entering my life was a huge event and you shook and shifted everything for me. I want you to be mine and," he paused, "I want to be yours." If you haven't figured it out yet....I loved this book!!! I want MORE and lucky for me there is a book 2, the downside is I don't think it comes out until August. For all of those worried about a cliff there really isn't one, the ending just sets up the start of the next book but it isn't a cliff.....just a new start for the next episode;) PS...Travis Maddox I still love you so disregard my first comment...I'll just have to make room for Scott too;))

The song they would dedicate to each other would so be 'I Hate That I Love You!' Emma + Scott + Dancing = Somebody call 911, shawty FIRE BURNING ON THE DANCE FLOOR "Thanks." "For what?" I asked. "For giving a shit." ___ He treats females like he does a cigarette; light it, use it, and lose it. What. A. Line! Rockstar books get me TOO hot! :P ☆ Can't wait to read about this bad boy! ;)

WTF...WTF...WTF GOD *&^%%$ Just do it already Can I have you...yes I want you...no I don’t!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Do it...do it...do it OMG that did not just happen … **cries and folds self in a fetal position** WHAT is he doing....omg NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...NOOOOOOO I can’t believe he did that HOLY CRAP!! HOLY CRAP!! HOLY CRAP holy %$%#% AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH sniffles and tears As you can see the back and forth drove me beyond insane BUT I have to say I was addicted, completely addicted. These two characters Scott and Emma are BRILLIANT. I honestly love these angsty love stories, filled with overpowering sexual tension and crazy back and forth drama. And Good Lord the sexual tension was physically oozing off these pages. The author can write some good intense chemistry. What's the story about? Well it's about Emma who has just moved to the US to start fresh after a family issue. She has some lingering past daddy problems and is looking for a clean slate to start fresh and make some new friends. She moves in with her cousin and they attend College together. Her upstairs neighbor is Scott her cousins long time friend. Scott is a sexy, tattooed rocker. He's a womanizer that goes through a new women every night. He uses them and then tosses them on their asses the next day. Scott is your typical bad boy. He doesn't do relationships and has never had a serious girlfriend. In fact his attitude to women is pretty appalling at times. He really is the definition of BAD BOY! Scott and Emma meet and instantly there's sparks. Their attraction is extremely strong. “I’ve committed every part of you to memory, did you know that? You’re so fucking beautiful that sometimes I can’t see straight. I want you so bad, I can’t take this shit. The first night we met was like being hit by a tornado all over again. You entering my life was a huge event and you shook and shifted everything for me. I want you to be mine and I want to be yours.”- Scott But Scott is warned by Emma’s cousin to STAY AWAY. She doesn't want to see Emma anymore hurt by a man that she has already been. There's only one problem!!! Scott is desperately attracted to Emma and Emma to him. The need for each other drives them insane. Just one taste of Emma is addictive to Scott. Emma wants to be with him so badly but the fear that she’ll land up as just another one of his conquest is holding her back. Not only do Scott and Emma have issues with each other but they have baggage from the past they have to deal with! There’s drugs, girls, boys, mother issues and daddy issues...it’s a lot!!! Can Emma allow herself to trust Scott? Will he use her like the rest of the girls he’s been with? Can Emma allow herself to love a man and give him power over her? Can she take a chance at love? These are all things that Emma needs to work out. Emma and Scott have an explosive romance. I think one of the things that really drove me batty was the way they could hurt each other so easily without a single thought to the consequences. They had no impulse control when it came to hurting each other. It was excruciating. I just wanted to shake both of them and scream "THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!" Overall though I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Even thought there was a ton of angst that made me want to scream I still felt I was able to connect to the characters. I really enjoy the rip your heart out and stomp on it type books. I think if you like the Avoiding Commitment series by K.A Linde, as well as the Thoughtless series by S.C Stephens then, like me, you'll love this. I’m really eager to see where the author takes Emma and Scott in the next book because I’m sensing some MAJOR relationship drama and some serious growing pains. These two are angsty goodness in a book! FAVORITE QUOTES "There were no certainties when it came to love, no definite's, just lots of maybes." "Forgiveness should be given to a person who needs it. Not only does it show compassion for that person but in a way, it sets them free to forgive themselves when they are ready to move on. You will understand one day, but keeping grudges isn't healthy." "Let me have you," his voice was gravelly, my heart squeezed, "I'll show you I don't want anyone else."

Squeeeeeeeeeal!!!!!! I freakin' love love love loved this! Like, soooo much! Okay, I'm going to throw a pretty bold statement out there... It reminded me of Thoughtless!!! Now, I am a huuuuuge Thoughtless fan. As in, it's my absolutely favourite book, so for me to bestow that compliment on Rocked Under is testament to how much I enjoyed it. So, let's compare... As in, it's my absolutely favourite book, so for me to bestow that compliment on Rocked Under is testament to how much I enjoyed it. So, let's compare... Sexy new rock-God bad-boy room mate? ✓ 'I've got a boyfriend so I can't have you!' ? ✓ Hot bad boy fucks his way through anything in a skirt to 'forget' ? ✓ 'Lets pretend to be 'friends' but wind each other up to the point of distraction.' ? ✓ Lots of steamy, building sexual tension ? Multiple ✓s "I can't stop this. I can't stop wanting you and seeing you with Ad is - it's driving me fuckin' crazy. I want to take you right now, in a goddamn back alley and against this fuckin' wall. It's so fuckin' wrong and I'm a scumbag piece of shit that doesn't deserve to even look at you." Speaking of building sexual tension. Oh. My. God! This book is total foreplay! The dancing, the grinding, the stolen touches, the secret kisses, the breathlessness, the teasing... Jee.Zuz! I was worn out and wound so tightly! But never fear... the result? WOW Certainly nothing anti about this climax!!! "I'm so fuckin' in love with you, babe." If I had to pick fault, I'd say perhaps a little predictable and it certainly follows a proven format. If you want something completely different, that might irritate you... but I could not have cared less! I devoured the tension, the angst, the deliciousness of the whole thing. The emotional whiplash, the back and forth, back and forth. One minute they're masquerading as 'friends', then someone takes it too far, then they're at each others throats, then they're apologising and back to the friend zone again. Only for the whole cycle to play out over and over again. Frustrating, exasperating and utterly scrumptious. "I've committed every part of you to memory, did you know that? You're so fucking beautiful that sometimes I can't see straight. I want you so bad, I can't take this shit. The first night we met was like being hit by a tornado all over again. You entering my life was a huge event and you shook and shifted everything for me. I want you to be mine and I want to be yours." I loved the characters. I've read some reviews that said Emma was annoying. I disagree. She isn't a prudish, naïve, goody two shoes. I love that she has a dark side too. She is rightly afraid of being with Scott... I totally get her apprehension. I would be the same. Every girl thinks they'll be the one to change him and she doesn't want to fall into that trap. But I loved that she wasn't above going and getting absolutely hammered to chase away her sorrows... and I loved that, actually, she's a bit of a cock tease. She wasn't too prissy to press Scott's jealousy buttons by dancing and kissing other guys. It was quite refreshing. I'm not condoning the behaviour, before anyone jumps on me, but it's nice to read about a heroine who isn't always trying to be perfect and isn't too good to make mistakes. I had no intention of getting involved with a tattooed, spikey-haired rock dude who wore his waistband under his ass cheeks, slept around and had commitment issues. Those were the types that had me running from the hills. And Scott... Holy Shit! Sex. On. A. Stick! Yeh, I think I may have drooled on my Kindle a little. Honestly the absolute perfect bad boy book boyfriend. He's screwed up, lost, vulnerable, a total slut, quick with his fists, over protective... and boy does he love Emma! Sooooo adorable. I just wanted to scoop him up and keep him in my pocket... okay, maybe my bed... ;) "It's always been you. I'm incapable of loving anyone else. It's you or no one. I would be so good to you, babe. Please, just give me a shot at making you happy." And then, I get to the end of the book, which, by the way, is a happy ending with no cliffhanger, so don't worry, and I find out that there is a Book 2!!! This was me... I absolutely can not wait for the second book. I think this is going to be one of my new favourite series. *sigh* What are you doing still reading this?! Go get some Scott Mason in your life asap! "It's the person you are inside that counts and you're beautiful. You're beautiful outside, too, but that's not what's got to me." He put his hand over my heart, "This has." This book drove me CRAZY! If you enjoy an obscene amount of angst in which the main character meets her dream guy only to push him away for the majority of the book, then this is for you! Emma is from England, she sports great looks a cute accent and has moved in with her American cousin Ash to attend College. Ash immediately warns Emma of her friend/rock god/man whore /neighbor Scott Mason. From the moment Emma and Scott met sparks fly and their physical connection is established. Emma immediately throws Scott into the friend zone because he is a man whore and fights her attraction for him for most of the book. Not only does she try to deny the attraction but strings him along and pushes him away at the same time. The poor guy never knew which way was up. Emma tries a relationship with Adam, a ‘safe’ guy all the while throwing mixed signals at Scott. I screamed at her for most of the story. She was downright cruel in some of the things she says to him. I couldn’t take her yo-yoing with his emotions and his parade of groupies. "Really? You can't stand to see me with Ad! It eats away at you that I prefer Ad to you and the fact that-" I looked him up and down with a sneer, "you're not good enough for me." Emma Emma uses her parent’s recently failed marriage as a blueprint of what not to do in a relationship. Does it work out for her? Nah… Scott and Emma pretty much go out of their way to hurt each other for the better part of the book. ”I’ve never felt this way about anyone and I didn’t know how to get you. You’ve been breaking my fuckin’ heart.” ~Scott Emma and Scott establish a strong bond through this merry go round of a relationship/friendship extreme sexual tension and then..FINALLY they get on the same page. ”Scott, you already have made me happy by saying those words because, I love you too, and I’m not willing to fight this anymore. I want you in anyway that I can have you because I’m miserable without you.” ~Emma I think I will be following Scott and the band on tour in the next book because I am interested to see what happens next. I enjoyed the supporting characters and hope that Emma and Scott can get their relationship off the ground.

Guys, WELCOME TO DRAMALAND! a place where selfish girls are foolish enough to think they get owner rights over men after rejecting them (right for friendship, guarantee of faithfulness...) a place where men with broken hearts sleep around as a means to get back at selfish girls a place where Love has a very ugly twin who keeps rearing its very ugly head everywhere, and whose name is Jealousy. You know, there is a good reason for people coming up with that saying in the first place, the one that goes: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !! It was purposely invented for times like this. There should be an award for this book, only because it deserves recognition for being the perfect example of why people should seriously think about drawing a line at playing with a reader's patience. Rocked Under is one of those books. It paid no consideration for my poor nerves. I actually really, really wanted to love this book. Like in any self-respecting adult novel with the promise of lots of angst, the lead couple in Rocked Under has to go through trials and tribulations before they can get their happy ending. “Okay. Why not? I've done this before, what's a little heartache and a little suffering? No biggie”, says Amaryllis, who back then, was full of trust and positive thinking. What a shame that I did not prepare myself to have my sanity trampled on. The story begins with Emma falling in love with Scott the moment they lay their eyes on each other. "Really? Love at first sight, then?", I hear you ask. I'm not going to lie or beat around the bush like Emma. I feel it is my duty to be honest with you about Rocked Under. Moreover, it doesn't take a genius to understand right from the start that Emma is crazy for Scott. Therefore, let's admit it once and for all: EMMA LOOOVES SCOTT. The end. (I mean, it should have been the end here. If Emma had accepted her feelings there, she would have spared us a lot of torture.) How nice though, it happens that Scott is falling for her too. Despite being a rock star with a huge record of one-night-stands, Scott is on the path to becoming a new man, a man whose heart belongs to only one woman. You'd think that, considering it's so obvious to everyone that they have feelings for each other, one or both of them would realize very soon that those feelings are reciprocated. NOPE. That's where the drama enfolds. This book is a like cycle of quarrels, all very similar to one another. Aside from causing a lot of frustration, this whole fiasco has at least the decency to prove one thing: that Emma is a hypocrite. And this, by the way, is putting it mildly. Here are the facts: 1- Emma is completely blind/ indifferent to Scott's many gestures of affection, tenderness and love. 2- She gives up on expressing her true feelings for him at the slightest obstacle. 3- She blames Scott for being the sort of guy who is not capable of not cheating on his girlfriend (if he ever decides to have one), even when she doesn't even dare to commit herself to a relationship with a man she loves. 4- She makes out with multiple guys in front of Scott (bonus some groping), then blames him for doing the same with his groupies. 5- She is well aware of the fact that Scott genuinely cares for her, but is dumb enough not to understand why her flirting with strangers in front of him can hurt him. 6- She gets jealous everytime she sees Scott hooking up with a new girl, but manages all the same to be baffled by Scott's outbursts of jealousy. This show goes on and on, endlessly in a roundabout way. In Emma's defence, you should know that despite usually being the one denied, Scott is far from being without reproach. Instead of working his way to Emma's heart, all he does is have sex with countless women, and be a jerk, which does not help his case at all. You got it. The story always repeats the same line of development (let's refer to Emma and Scott as A and B, in no specific order): 1- A engages in sexual flirting in a public setting with the purpose of offending B 2- B has a massive jealousy breakout OR, out of pettiness, provokes A by performing similar kind of flirting with other people 3- A or B gives up on trying to make the other one jealous, instead throws a fit of rage 4- Nor A nor B admits to harboring feelings of love. By the end of the book, I had no more interest left in me to enjoy or feel any relief when came the happy conclusion. What's funny though is that I actually want to read the sequel to Rocked Under, coming out soon. Guess I am one hell of a masochist !

A gripping story, angst-filled and beautiful. Emma and Scott caught in a whirlwind of emotions that will swallow them, of situations that that will mess with their heads and their hearts,of self-induced pain and heartbreak that will bring them to the point of destruction. I deserve it, but its over. I’m leaving! I’m leaving this building, I'm leaving this bloody town and I'm fucking leaving you!” His face fell. He let go of me abruptly and I quickly turned my back whilst I got my breath back and calmed down. My heart was thumping so hard that I could hear it. “I wish I never met you,” my quiet rasp shook. Fuck off, bitch," the girl stood too and was shooting arrows through her eyes, but I just smiled. "Fuck off, Bitch?" I mimicked and forced a laugh. "If you want a slanging match with me, I suggest you broaden your vocabulary considerably before uttering another word and giving me further reason to believe that you came from a settlement of inbred idiots." The girl turned pink under her thick layer of foundation. "Do yourself a favour and sit down." I shook my head, "You won't win with me." I spat. Rock singing and sensual dancing, an initiation into a thrilling and nerve-recking ride of love, lust, jealousy and soul-deep problems. He rolled on top of me then and kissed me, "you're mine, Emma. I love you more than anything and I'm not letting you go. I'll never do that shit again and I haven't since that night. You scared the shit out of me, you know. I thought you were going to die in my arms–" He shut his eyes for a moment before opening them again. "I can never go through that again." He rained kisses all over my face before smiling down at me.

The Angst! The Drama! The Sexual Tension! Oh my!!! Scott is a rockstar who brings home a different girl every night. He is twenty two and he’s never had a girlfriend. Ever. Can you say commitment issues? He treats females like he does a cigarette; light it, use it, and lose it. Emma is nineteen year old girl who just moved to the US from England with her mom after her parents divorce. She has some issues with her father. She is looking for a fresh start. There were no certainties when it came to The Angst! There were no certainties when it came to love, no definites, just a lot of maybes. Emma is getting ready to start college. She moves into an apartment with her cousin Ashley. She knows she has an upstairs neighbor named Scott who has been good friends with Ash since forever. Ash warns Emma to stay way from Scott, he has a reputation and she doesn’t want her to get hurt. She also warns Scott to not go there. At the bar where they meet, Scott doesn’t know who Em is at first. These two are drawn to each other. They have major chemistry. He had so much power over my body- it was is. It was like he knew exactly what it wanted, how to make it his. Scott and Emma try to stay away from each other. They have this unexplainable attraction and connection, but they fight it. Scott knows he doesn’t deserve someone like Emma, and Emma wants Scott, but doesn’t want to get hurt. He wanted one night, but one night would never be enough for me, not to mention that our friendship would be ruined. They develop a friendship. Emma tries dating someone else, and Scott continues to bring girls home. It’s a mess. The sexual tension between them is crazy! Those two dancing together... holy helll- talk about HOT! Emma starts to fall for Scott, but she is still with Adam. It really is a hot mess. They have this 'friendship' or relationship, but they are never on the same page. My heart wanted to go out to him but I needed it to stay whole and safe with me. I didn’t dare give a piece to Scott, he would make it crack until it shattered into a million piece that would take a lifetime to put back together. Scott is a hot, sexy, bad boy, tattooed manwhore. Seriously, what is not to love??? He has a bit of a Travis Maddox vibe(who is my ultimate book boyfriend) So you know I loved him! I liked Emma most of the time, though she drove me crazy at times! She wouldn’t talk to Scott about her feelings, wouldn’t even give him a chance, constantly pushed him away, yet got insanely jealous when he was with other woman... w.t.f? Although I did root for Emma, especially when she went off on a bitch in the cafeteria! That had me rooting for her! Some parts of this book felt like torture, no joke. But after a lot of this.... It eventually got better :D I was really happy with the ending, with the way it was going, I was really nervous there was going to be a cliffhanger- but no! YAY! There is a second book coming out, which I am really looking forward to! I’ll take more Scott, thank you! If you are wanting a super ansty book with a BD/Thoughtless vibe- READ THIS! Some of my favorite lines... “Babe?” I loved it when he called me babe. I opened the door and looked over my shoulder with questioning eyes. “Thanks.” “For what?” I asked. “For giving a shit.” “I want you so bad I can’t take this shit. The first night we met was like being hit by a tornado all over again. You entering my life was a huge event and you shook and shifted everything for me. I want you to be mine and,” he paused. “I want to be yours.” “I want you anyway I can get you, and if that means letting go, then I’ll do it- I’ll never bring it up again.” "I'm so fuckin' in love with you, babe." “It’s always been you. I’m incapable of loving anyone else. It’s you or no one.” He brought his body into mine, “I would be so good to you, babe. Please, just give me a shot at making you happy.”

I've already started this journey with Emma and Scott so I might as well see where it takes them. Hope Emma is stronger in book 2 and will be more open to taking chances.

Ok, this is going to be a ranting review because it was just bad. I really, really don't like writing negative reviews but honesty is more important. But first - I see the author is English. But how does an English person not know how to discern "your" and "you're"? It was used wrong in at least two places and it just hurts my eyes! She acted like the world will end if she lets a guy in her life. And all of that just because her father (one person mind you) made a mistake. Not everyone is the same, woman. But ok, Scott was a bastard too. So again, he’s portrayed like some goodie-two-shoes with only one flaw: every night - different woman of course. And Emma is the first one to refuse him and he falls in love with her and sufferes for her and I'm all like this.. The thing that bothered me most is that she keeps refusing him throughout the book and being a f*cking bitch about it making him jealous – dancing with other men, kissing random people on purpose and when he gets mad she’s all : "Oh God, I’m such an idiot." Actually.. Also, what’s with Scott (view spoiler)[taking women home even after he met Emma? He even said that when he was with them he imagined her. That’s so messed up! She could hear him and see him with them! (hide spoiler)] Yeah yeah, he’s SUCH a great guy… -.- It took them what felt like a year to get it on, even then I was disappointed. And for God’s sake, stop using the word ‘tummy’ when you’re writing a sex scene! So why did I give the book 2 stars? I liked Ashley. And because I’m a sadist, because I liked seeing them suffer like this expecting an awesome happy ending. I totally regret this.

*** DNF *** I know many of my friends here on GR loved this book, so I was excited to read this one! And yes, I do LOVE rock stars stories! So I was caught by surprise when I was dragging the reading and wishing it all end already. The main reason? The MC, Emma, annoyed to no end. The book is on her POV, and I just couldn't connect with her...I couldn't understand her! And the worst? I didn't care what happen to her and I sure didn't wanted her to be with Scott! I deserve a MAJOR pat on the back for finishing this book. What I liked: Spelling errors aside and the fact that the author clearly forgot several times who was talking (you will notice this through out) I did like the way this one drew me in. It had enough mystery surrounding key elements within the story that I was very intrigued to learn more. I liked how Scott came into play. He has a way about him. As "Free" as he was with showing his love, he does endear himself to you. So I felt that he wa I deserve a MAJOR pat on the back for finishing this book. As "Free" as he was with showing his love, he does endear himself to you. So I felt that he was written well. The others surrounding Emma her family, friends outside of Scott, etc.. Were interesting. They kept the flow going very well. There were a few shocking, entertaining moments here I must say. But What I did not like was the constant back and forth and misunderstandings between Scott & Emma. It got to the point that once I was in 70% of the novel, I began to lose sight of what the actual conflict was between these two. Mind boggling, irritating, and just flat out petty stupidity abound. And it was mostly on Emma's part. I must say. If I had to listen to her in her head one more time about how she feels about Scott and other women, after she has constantly pushed him away... UGH!!! Or her doing the childish move of using strangers to make him jealous. *rolls eyes* And just how many angry back and forth kisses can you give someone without following through? Well, according to this story, ALOT. The very last chapter, the 2nd half of the very last chapter, you finally get some real progress with these two. And while you get a little dose of hotness that you will be salivating for at this point, it all still feels very rushed. *Gasps* Yes, rushed. After all the craziness and set backs you go through with these two, the ending still feels rushed. My guess is cos there was so much to get straight and cover. Things that could & should have been settled a few chapters prior. All of this leads you into the next crazy book to cover their story. Which if you were paying attention, I will not be reading. If you want a headache. If you want to be irritated within an inch of your life. If you like being set on fire without really being hosed down, then by all means have a go with this book. But I would not recommend it.

Scott is the lead singer for the group Down Under. He is one hot, sexy, tattoo'd, rocker, bad boy who has a different girl every night. He has never had a girlfriend and admittedly never wants one. Emma moves to the states to get away from an ugly past and some ugly memories. She has a famous dad that has let her down and she needs a change of pace. She decides to move in with her cousin Ashley and start college to become a manager for a band. Ashley has a group of really good friends, that includes the bad boy rocker Scott. Ashley warns Emma to stay away from Scott- he is a bad boy and will only break her heart. He never keeps a girl around after one night. Ashley also warns Scott to stay away from Emma. She tells him she has been hurt, and they can never be more than friends. "Yea, he's got a reputation around here, but its not as bad as it sounds. What reputation? He's hot Em, seriously hot. He doesn't take any crap from anyone and he -uh- has some commitment issues. He's an asshole when it comes to girls because of it" Scott and Emma are immediately drawn to each other. Sparks fly and the chemistry is explosive. "The drummer started a slow beat and Mr. Silhouette started to sing deeply. My breath released slowly as his low voice penetrated and vibrated intimately through the floor to my feet and up my body making me shudder, leaving me feeling as though I had been violated in the most sacred of places" Scott and Emma travel down a forbidden path together that includes a lot of hurt, heartache lust and emotions. They fight their feelings and desperately hurt each other in the process. At times I wanted to scream at Emma for the countless times she led Scott on then pushed him away. Then of course there were plenty of indiscretions where Scott was concerned too. For someone that obviously wanted Emma, that ached to be with her, he had one heck of a time keeping it in his pants. "I can't stop wanting you, and seeing you with Ad is - its driving me fuckin' crazy, as he said those last words he drove his hips into me with a low groan. I want to take you right now in a goddamn back alley and against this fucking wall. It's so fucking wrong and Im a scumbag piece of shit that doesn't even deserve to look at you." I have a serious crush on yet another book bad boy and I can't freakin wait until book two comes out! Don't freak out when you find out this isn't a stand alone book though... Although we do have to wait for book two, Rocked Under doesn't leave you hanging with a nasty cliffhanger. The ending is wonderful and although I wanted to cry because this book had come to a end, I soon rejoiced when I discovered I would soon get to read more about Scott and Emma when their journey continues. I now suggest if your the kind of reader who likes her books filled with page after page with a sexy, hot bad boy that can dish out angst, heartache, lust, romance and yummy goodness you need to buy this book now because you are going to love every last page and count down the days until book two is released.

Something you need to know about this book….. The sex scenes come MUCH later.. We get lots and lots and lots and lots of tension first! At times I was so frustrated at this book! It felt like it was: Emma would watch Scott sing and want him - Scott would sing on stage, but be looking at Emma - Emma danced with a guy - Scott watched -Emma made out with a guy to piss off Scott - Scott punched that guy - They argued -Then made out -She ran away - He slept with someone else to make her jealous -She got jealous -They had the “just friends” talk THEN Emma danced - Scott watched - Emma made out with a guy to piss off Scott - Scott punched that guy - They argued - Then made out -She ran away - He slept with someone else to make her jealous -She got jealous -They had the “just friends” talk see a theme here? Though as much as I wanted to yell/scream/punch everyone IT WAS ALL WORTH IT! They tried to be friends…. They were always more ”All I think of is you,” he groaned into my neck, “and I can’t stop,” he shook his head, “I’ve tried so fuckin’ hard to be your friend but I can’t do it. You know we can’t anymore, Emma.” Scott tells her how he feels but she still won’t give in to her body because of her past. How will he win her over? Can he stop being a douchebag? Read and find out… Ok Characters: Emma English born, only daughter of High Society. Parents divorced. Decides to move to America to go to college, as she is running from… well something, I’ll let you read about it. She loves to dance and is still a virgin *GASP* I know another virgin! She does lose her L plates though! BUT IT IS NOT SCOTT! Nope bet you weren’t expecting me to say that!? She is likeable… but man does she piss you off at times! Scott *SIGH* Scott… he is just MMM mm MM mm Mmmmmm.. While SUPER hot he has issues.. basically he is your run of the mill man whore. He is an ass to everyone but his friends. He worships his father. He has a bad bad temper (as we see by the many fights he has in this book) He is the Lead singer of a band. Has tattoo’s. NUFF SAID. We get to see the Scott he is on the outside and also the Scott he is on the inside. While he excels in man whore douchebaggery you still love him. Like LOVE HIM love him! Until he is hurting… You just want to fix him! But then he fucks up. But it’s almost non-redeemable! BUT luckily he does. There are other things happening in the book, but I have just focused on the romance. Cos really that’s what we want to know?! There are sweet sweet parts. There were hot hot my panties have combusted from my body parts There was.. parts All in all it was a great read Looking forward to the next one although not sure if it’s these 2 again or a diff band member?

Frustration – that’s the main feeling that book got from me. “Rocked Under” was like broking record playing the same scenario again and again. Scott would make a pass for Emma, they would make out, Emma would suddenly change her mind and reject Scott, they would exchange angry and hurtful words. And the next day it all will be repeated. And so in went on and on and on. Now about Emma. She was a spoiled brat. Her behavior was despicable. She hurt Scott so many times. Sometimes she was real bitch. Leading the guys on, provoking fights in bars, trying to make Scott jealous then complaining about him being possessive. She kept changing her mind back in forth faster than a baby changes diapers. She hated Scott for being with other girls while she herself was dating other guys. I don’t think that a girl like that deserved to a get a man in the end. She deserved to get slapped. Scott was no better. He was more decent then Emma, but he handled the situation wrong. If you like a girl then be a man and have balls to tell her that! But he probably expected to read his mind and when she didn’t he chose to be an asshole to her. Well I think these two deserved each other. I also didn’t like that both heroes thought that solutions of the problems lays in alcohol and drugs. All in all, I hated characters, despised their behavior, was bored with repetition of the plot and didn’t like the message this book was caring.

Well crap...that was awful. Can someone please explain how or why I should be at all attracted or drawn to Scott? He is the definition of complete tool bag. I might have felt something for him if he had even pretended to give up all the girls, but no, he claimed to want only her one minute then have another girl or two the next. I just view her as a character that if you want to choose a guy who openly flaunts other girls, and admits he did that to hurt you then you deserve to get your heart broken in my opinion and I don't want to hear her complaints in the next book when it happens. I really liked Kyle and I hope he sticks around in the story long enough to see that he gets his HEA because he deserves it. Scott and Emma...well, I was just sick of reading their intense fights where they screamed hurtful things at each other just to find two pages later that something else outside of their relationship happened and they were "all is forgiven" towards each other again. First Adam, then the video, then his father, then her illness, and on and on and on. They were two of the most dysfunctional characters I have ever read, and they were just so unappealing! I want to read about at least one character who has self respect or a redeeming quality to them and these two failed miserably the entire time making for a very aggravating book. I really hope the author spends some extra time on the sequel redeeming one or both of theses characters so that there is something worth reading and getting attached to. There is potential, but now it's up to the author to redeem herself and her characters.

So, before I get into this, be warned: There will be some spoilers ahead. This story starts out pretty good, though sometimes I couldn't tell if it was British English or a typo/bad grammar in some places. Rocked Under had the makings of Beautiful Disaster with a touch of Thoughtless mixed in there. The sexual tension was....well, whew! The moment they danced I think I almost fainted. However, for me, there was WAY TOO MUCH flirty/slutty behavior on the part of the heroine, Emma. I mean, she went from virgin to letting guys get there hands between her legs, on her boobs, and just to make a 'point' to the Hero, Scott?! Look, I'm all for women's liberation. Get on a dance floor, shake your ass, flirt away, but letting some guy get his grubby dirty hands on you just out of spite for another guy? I'm sorry, but that is so self disrespecting behavior right there. Worst part, she knows it, yet keeps going. The Hero, known from the get go as a man whore, needs to learn how to keep his tongue and wee wee to himself. I get the bad boy hot guy behavior, but REALLY, you claimed to love and have loved the heroine, yet keep dipping yourself into every whore-hole you can find. GROSS. This made him extremely unattractive to me. And for Emma to walk in on Scott - after telling him all about what she went through with her father - and he slamming the salami and snorting up some coke, I just don't think the relationship would've gotten past that situation. For how raw her emotions still were with her dad, it just wasn't believable for me. In fact, it should have gone a bit more like: Then: I would've fucked his shit up! But I digress.... Overall, this book was okay - I liked it. But it could've been SO MUCH better. If a grammar editor and a clean copy content editor got a hold of this it could be tightened up and into a truly amazing story. There were some grammatical issues and I think there are quite a few areas that could have been condensed or deleted from the story. Especially the 'back and forth' between heroine and Hero - it was too much. I felt nauseated from all of it at one point. I hope the author continues to write. I think she has a great voice and will definitely improve with time. I liked this book, but probably won't be getting into the second book that is going to follow this one. It is a happy for now ending, so don't fear a cliff hanger. :o)

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. This book was exhausting! I feel like I'd just finished running a thousand miles and I am EXHAUSTED! For starter, I never have problems reading books with love-triangle, bad-tempered boys, insecure girls (maybe a little bit) or secret/twisted pasts. However, this book annoyed me immensely. Emma was so frustrating. She kept pushing away her feelings for Scott, but her actions were speaking otherwise. It was like she was playing some kind of twisted mind game. Besides, she was the most clueless character I've ever read. Again and again, she asked herself why Scott was upset, why Scott was acting like this, why Scott said that... while the answers were right in front of her. And she GIGGLED! OMG I wanted to smack her in the face just for that alone. Scott was a weird character, and I think it was because of his mood swings. One second he was all over Emma and in the blink of an eye, he threw his temper around like a 3 year-old. He constantly said he wanted to be with Emma, yet he still slept around and sometimes made out with different chicks in front of her. Seriously? It didn't make sense whatsoever. Yes, I know a lot of people here think he is FREAKING HOT, but not me. I thought he was a complete douche for being a manslut. I was told that writing a love-triangle was difficult for an author since sometimes the author fell in love with both characters which made it hard to decide which one to choose. Maybe it was true for Cora Hawkes. I still could believe that the author just turned Adam into a jerk that quickly. From the beginning of the book up until Emma and Adam slept together, Adam was such a nice, if not great, boyfriend. All of a sudden, he became a totally different guy. There were several confusing scenes in this book also. For instance, she said... "He (Adam) was a cool guy and it was as though I was cheating on him even though I wasn't really." Well, she said this after she kissed Scott. Last time I checked kissing another guy while having a boyfriend is considered as cheating. On top of these, there were several of typos and tons of words missing apostrophes that I couldn't overlook. It was distracting and since the book was not that interesting to me, it made reading (and trying to finish) this book even harder for me.

Rating Clarification: 3.5 Stars “Don't miss out on life because you're afraid of what might happen, that is no way to live, darling.” Before I start this review I've got to say (probably for the 200th time, but what can I do? I like to repeat myself xD) that I LOVE rock stars stories. Yes, I know what you going to say: Who doesn’t? But, much to my displeasure, this book was just “okay”. In a way I blame the writing style that was a little confusing and… meh. (Yes. I’m doing a great job at explaining myself. Thank you for noticing!) Scott is the traditional rock-star: Sexy, with an orgasmic voice, bad-boy, cocky and a womanizer façade that he uses to hide his ghosts and commitments issues. (He never had a girlfriend or any type of relationship. He uses girls for a few hours and then it’s time to go.) Emma is the traditional good girl, with daddy issues that prevent her from falling in love with guys like Scott. But unfortunately their attraction is immediate and none of them can do anything about it. Since Scott is Emma’s cousin best-friend and they share the same group or friends, they are forced to spend a lot of time together and form a friendship. But with time said friendship starts to be insufficient and they have to overcome a lot of difficulties in order to try to be happy: together or not. Being the biggest difficulty themselves, that try everything in their power to avoid what they're feeling. I heard a lot of reviews saying how angsty this book was. To be honest I didn't think it was. Nerve wracking? Totally. Frustrating? HELL-F***ING-YES Most of the time I wanted to slap both of them. Preferably with a book against their faces. Emma is utterly annoying through a great amount of the book and Scott is an asshole for the same length. He ends up redeeming himself in the end (when she finally stops being dumb) but it was NOT ENOUGH. After all the excessive amount of drama we deserved more. I really loved the premise of the story and I liked the book. The writing style, the constant annoyance with the characters and unnecessary drama kept me from really loving it. But I’ll definitely read the second hoping it gets better. In the end, I really can't resist a musician. ;)

I loved this book, I couldn't put it down once I started it. At times I felt frustrated at Emma's character and just wanted to tell her to pull her head in! lol Overall this is very well written and you can't help but be drawn into the story. You will not be disappointed although annoyed that it's one of those books that you really get into to find out you have to wait for the next book to see what happens next!!!

Holy Angst-Fest! This book has a taste of Thoughtless with a side of Beautiful Disaster. Unfortunately I do not think it came together for me. Emma moves from England to stay with her cousin Ash in the USA. They live in the same building with her cousin's long time friend Scott. A young hot rocker bad boy. Her cousin warns them off each other from the beginning, but of course no one ever listens. Emma got on my last nerve! A young hot rocker bad boy. Her cousin warns them off each other from the beginning, but of course no one ever listens. Emma got on my last nerve! She alternates between sweet girl, bad girl, and spent most of the book in denial, running away, or pushing Scott away. The girl has serious Daddy issues and trust issues. She is immature and impulsive. She was constantly challenging Scott, treated him like he was not worthy of her(and told him that often enough), but needed him to rescue her often. Scott: "Why do you let everyone else close but me? What're you afraid of?" Scott had a lot going for him. A Hot Rocker with a legion of female fans. He could be sweet, a good friend, protective, and loving. However, his male whoring ways did not scream "relationship potential." He is possessive, confused, impulsive, poor at communication, and has anger management issues. But I truly felt sympathy for Scott most of the book because even though he had some bad behavior, a lot of it seemed to be knee jerk reactions to what Emma was putting him through. The more time I spent around him, the more of a mystery he was. He was such a dick when it came to girls but with his friends and me, he was totally different. It was as though he was two people sometimes. To the outside world he was Scott Mason; bad boy and womaniser. In private, he was Scott Mason; caring and loyal friend. Scott: "Thanks." Emma: "For what?" Scott: "Giving a shit." It felt like the same scenarios kept running over and over with pushing, pulling, making each other jealous, fighting the same fights, Scott saving Emma from her bad choices, and Emma blaming Scott for his. My body craved him like his body was it's missing piece, but my mind wouldn't allow it. I kept waiting for some happy time. They had some, but it was minimal in comparison to the angst. I enjoy books with conflict and emotional turmoil, but sometimes it is just too much and too exhausting. I guess I just found myself getting frustrated and wanted them to get it together already. The end sets it up for book 2 Untitled where I am sure more angst will follow this couple.
