Poetry collections, especially about romantic emotions I do not and cannot share as an ace/aro/agender person, are always a hit-or-miss experience for me. That said, Sin's short pieces sometimes resonated greatly, including "where you touched me": i wish my skin was a suit i'd unzip it and change to keep myself from remembering you ... and the self-aware "dead things": poetry is a graveyard for all of the people who hurt me ... and the October-vibey "shipwreck": you can't keep what shouldn't stay you can't Poetry collections, especially about romantic emotions I do not and cannot share as an ace/aro/agender person, are always a hit-or-miss experience for me. It's worth noting that the majority of Sin's poems evince a sort of "I regret everything" mentality, but occasionally there are beautiful little beats like "just thinking": i wish i could stretch out time and put more of you in it ... so it's not always harrowing. I know of several friends I could pass this on to, but I don't want to drop a three-star rating without acknowledging that part of the fault in not giving it more stars is mine: I haven't read the preceding two volumes, and the tone and focus of this one specifically may be less my jam and wheelhouse than the others. So take my rating with a large grain of salt. Like, at least a sea salt crystal, or possibly a crystal from one of those second-grade passive science experiments we used to do in the 1990s.

I love r.h. Sin! Yes, he has honed in what he does best! His poems flow seamlessly in a progressive development of his thoughts. He finds the deep innards of the emotional moments that make us human, that we share as a humanity. This is his perspective from his guts, his empathy for others. I find I can relate to his words, they are insightful and truthful. He is mighty with the words of our language. The book is primarily micro-poetry, which is a little nugget of wisdom, concise in its nature. I love r.h. Sin! Yes, he has honed in what he does best! Fiction can take you on a journey outside yourself, poetry at its best takes you on an inward journey, this is what r.h. Sin does well.

I read this while 75% asleep but I’m pretty sure it was still bad

I love this guy but he needs to shake it up! This book was repetitive and just felt recycled! Not his best work!

You can feel his anger but it's done so tastefully.

Great book of poetry. Very vulnerable and powerful. Written with extreme emotion and very relatable.
