A collection of dark, blasphemous stories with ambiguous endings most of them writen by women authors. A strong stomach will be needed in order to digest. Last Rites By Alta Hensley - 2 stars An illness has spread in the world and most people have been transformed in mindless scratching zobies. Two women look for The Church, a mythical place in the heart of the infected city where they will be safe and free. Father Dane helps women to cross to the other side according to rumours. Well, I could not really connect to the story or the characters. It did not feel complete. And the women were completely idiots and TSTL. Baptized in Eden By Jennifer Bene - almost 4 stars A woman wakes up disoriented and with no memories at a place called Eden that will soon become her personal hell. She will be starved, repeatedly raped, tortured and she will beg to die but she will just be cured and everything will start over again. Is this hell? Is it some kind of purgatory? Not a clear explanation is given, but the story is so well writen that I would love to read more about her torment and the reasons behind it. Communion By Celia Aaron - 3 stars A poster perfect, powerful, rich, good looking CEO will not hesitate to use his personal assisant as a human sucrifice in order to gain more power. Not a bad story, but the women (view spoiler)[ are a bit too bloodthirsty for my personal taste LOL (hide spoiler)] Say Yes By Ashleigh Giannoccaro - 1 star An innocent girls gets married to an man from a strict religious cult. Disturbing story which I did not like because it includes (view spoiler)[rape, incest and death by stoning (hide spoiler)] . I’m Better Than You By SJ Cole - 4 stars A woman in love needs to eliminate anyone who keeps her away from her perfect boyfriend. Crazy and dark story. She Came Before God By Addison Cain - 3 stars Brainwashed virgin, filthy Pope, twisted and disgusting end result. Very very dark story.

So Twisted Sacrament: is an Anthology of wretched warped wonders straight from the unnatural imaginings of some of my most favourite authors. Lulled at first into a misplaced sense of complicity it quickly became apparent that things here were not what they seemed and so very far from anyone's norm. and as the story progressed: we were very swiftly pulled down into the depths of a debased depravity: one that I could have scarcely imagined with an almost cavalier debauchery. This is abominable and disquieting and everything foul, unspeakable and ugly but I found myself unable to look away: glued with an almost horrified amazement to the unfolding Atrocity. Bravo to the author I am suitably distressed and disgusted with this twisted tale. I don't know whether to applaud or turn right around and flee far far away. This definitely does what it says on the tin: She Came before God is a holy horror of hypocrisy and there is nothing devout or devoted between these pages. This is pure non-con: forewarned is forearmed and I know I have said this before but please know your own limits. I do like to have my boundaries stretched and can definitely say in this instant they were taut with tension. I just need now to read the rest of the stories in this corrupt collection: can't wait. I voluntary reviewed an Arc of The Novella She Came Before God and this review is based on that particular story All opinions expressed here are entirely my own. Communion by Celia Aaron Communion lulls you into a false sense of security at first then it's depraved edges start to fray disabusing you of that initial notion. I loved every single minute of this dark short story. Even though I saw the twist coming it still brought me such glee, I thought it was bloody brilliant. I highly recommend it. Say Yes by Ashleigh Giannoccaro. This review is based solely on this story. I swear to God. I think she's trying to end me with her words. She Came Before God by Addison Cain I'll be honest, I struggled with how to rate this book. I started it late last night and was so drawn into the story that I read it all, morning alarms be damned. It totally held my attention through out and is really dark, really depraved and also really well written. It had non-con, which is always a given by this author, and which, despite having no eroticism and being stomach turning at points, was fine by me. However I this particular story just wasn't for She Came Before God by Addison Cain I'll be honest, I struggled with how to rate this book. I started it late last night and was so drawn into the story that I read it all, morning alarms be damned. It totally held my attention through out and is really dark, really depraved and also really well written. It had non-con, which is always a given by this author, and which, despite having no eroticism and being stomach turning at points, was fine by me. However I this particular story just wasn't for me, though I can't specifically say why. The heroine had been brainwashed into obedience and subservience, so this left her very naive and almost weak. (Admittedly she demonstrated some strength during her 'confessions'.) But it left me feeling zero hope for this character, particularly when combined with that ending. An ending that suggested an ongoing cycle. Which seemed odd because surely she had the power to break the cycle, since her mother had willingly and happily pushed her to be chosen? Anyway, despite not being for me, I can admire the story telling itself. In fact I'm almost tempted to consider rating this as 5 stars. Having literally slept on this (ie I read it last night), I'm actually feeling more positive about it and may well give this a re-read. I've obviously found my limit but I do still encourage you to read this if you enjoy walking on the very, very, very dark side. ******* Baptised in Eden by Jennifer Bene Whoa, this is a creepy and desolate read, and yet there is a little part of me who wonders if the character we meet at the end doesn't offer a little bit of 'salvation'. Not that salvation is to be found in the religious confines of Eden. This story held me bound, unable to look away from its horror and its violence. I read through half closed eyes, as though I could block out the evil emanating from the words before me. I'm surprised I remember Danielle's name, since she is so very much a 'thing', a toy to be taken to the very edges of hell and then brought back from the sanctuary of death to suffer it all again. And again, and then over again. This is a magnificent story, I loved it. Even better is that it won't be the last taste of Eden that we get. Yum, yum, I can't wait for more. Oh Danielle, bound in a world where the only hope is the hope of death.....

Review for Lilith's Revenge by Zoe Blake. 5 Stars Is it a love story or a battle of pure revenge? Lilith is one baldy female and knows just how to put a man through the perverable wringer. With the wicked sex acts this story gives you one hell of a twist at the end. Zoe Blake is a new author for me and is definitely the new flavour of the month. I will be reading every dark, dirty word that she has written. Lilith has become one of my most favourite female main characters. Go Lilith you twisted bitch.

OK, when you get a bunch of authors who write dark anyway and give them the freedom to write the most twisted and sacrilegious stories ever, you get this book. And yeah, that's exactly what you get. Addison Cain-She Comes Before God I mean, wow, I don't even know what to say about this one. It's haunting and twisted and stuck with me for hours and hours. It also made me dread more to the story. Just perfect. Zoe Blake-Lilith's Revenge OMFG! Total mindfrak. I mean, I'm not sure what is and isn't real in this story. It's disturbed and disturbing. I want to say that I want more of Samael and Lilith's story, but I'm not sure that there is more for the story to go or that my brain would necessarily be able to keep track of it. As it is, I'm going to be spending days and days trying to figure everything out, and I know that I'm going to have so many different theories, depending on the hour or day. Alta Hensley-Last Rites Ummm... Yeah. Disturbing in the most disturbing way. So many things. All the things. I don't even know where to start with this one, really. There are things I'm going to be wondering about for a while, trying to make them make sense. Jennifer Bene-Baptism in Eden Oh my fraking god. That is all. Celia Aaron-Communion Love this story. Great byplay in between the characters. And while it's dark, it's not near as dark as the rest of the stories in this book. I love how it turns out. It went to places I didn't expect, and that's always so freaking awesome. SJ Cole-I'm Better Than You OMG, talk about cuckoo, Violet definitely fits that description. In fact, that description may not even be enough for her. Totally messed up. Totally great. I am going to need to read more about this character. For sure, even if she is insane AF. And creepy AF. Ashleigh Giannoccaro-Say Yes Cults are always scary and creepy, because we don't know what's going on in them. They think that they make perfect sense, but when you're an outsider looking in or converting into the religion, things get a lot weirder, which is what happens here. I know that I wouldn't want to live with their version of God and religion. So, 7 great dark authors who were let loose and told to write something sacrilegious, and they succeeded so, so, so well.

By all that is unholy, this was a twisted story! I was lucky enough to get a chance at reading the ARC of Lilith’s Revenge by Zoe Blake and i can’t wait to read the other stories. Because if they’re even a little bit as good as Zoe’s,i need, really need,to read those as well! I’m not going to say too much, only that not all is what it seems to be. For Samuel and for Lilith. What plays out where and who does what,it most certainly leaves you wondering what happened. I absolutely loved it!

The fist story that I read is She Came Before God from Addison Cain. I’m still thinking about it. I finished yesterday and had daymares and nightmares about it. This was disturbing on so many levels. Just the thought that this or something similar could had happened some time in the past left me thinking. This story was awfully wrong and I couldn’t stop reading it.

I was shivering as I read the last chapter and it's a very rare story that makes me shiver, so kudos to the author. "Baptized in Eden" is a seriously dark brew of post-apocalyptic/paranormal horror that went in a direction I did not at all expect. It's a testament to the human spirit and the drive to survive at all costs. A compelling story and from the author's note, it looks like this could become a standalone, so that's something to really look forward to! That's not to say that the other stories in this anthology are not deliciously dark and wonderfully terrible. They are. Enjoy them all!

If you're like me, you'll love every story as much as the last. I can't choose a favorite, I wouldn't try. The first book by Zoe Blake makes you think, a brain play. Well, played. Alta Hensley brings horror and depravity to the next level with Last Rites. I laughed in sick delight, there's something really wrong with me. Baptized in Eden will leave you begging for more. I'd love a full length novel within this world. Jennifer Bene has my attention. Celia Aaron wins the best twist though. Communion made me smile with twisted glee. I did not see that coming. Ashleigh G led me into a cult and made me a bit sick to my stomach with her nasty ways. Still shaking my head. Stevie J Cole caught crazy and ran with it. Gotta check out White Pawn, I didn't nearly get enough of madness and obsession. Addison Cane went all out, slapped me in the face and pulled my hair. I'll definitely be checking out her other works. I have to end this review with one last thing. What is wrong with you, People? And why do I love it? Haha! Grab your night light because you need it.

For you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me." Hannah and her friend Lettie are trying to find a place called The Church which offers salvation from the world they now live in. "Deliver them now from every evil. And bid them eternal rest." A world of a disease called The Itch. Something that has decimated the population of the world in a blink of time. "In your mercy and love, blot out the sins she has committed through human weakness." Hannah has traveled far to get where she is, and has done some not so good things to get there. Even in her mind she's a sinner. Does she really belong in a place like The Church? "Gently wipe every tear from our eyes: in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." Hannah has lost many things on her journey to The Church. Her family, friends, some would even say her soul. Will what she has left be enough to allow her to stay, or will she be thrown back on the diseased and brutal streets of where she came from? Well, guess you'll just have to read to find out. "The grave is a sign of hope that promises resurrection even as it claims our mortal bodies."

Twisted Sacrament by Zoe Blake, Alta Hensley, Addison Cain, Ashliegh Giannocarro, Jennifer Bene, Celia Aaron and SJ Cole is a collection of short stories that are dark and twisted and have a religious church theme. Initially I had had read Ashliegh Giannocarro's story "Say Yes" and when I had finished I knew I had to read all the other stories. Each one was good on it's own. I enjoyed them all. A couple of the stories blew my mind. Some of these stories I would love to see be turned into a full length book. Kudos to all the authors. 4.5 stars

Review for: She Came Before God Author: Addison Cain O.M.G. There are no words to accurately describe the horror this story embodies while lulling you into a state of complacency. Beautifully grotesque. Written in the exceptional style of what has come to be expected from an Addison Cain story, this story does not disappoint and will leave you gasping. Not from an erotic high, but from the sensation of falling when she rips the floor out from beneath you. Not for the faint of heart. Seriously. This review is only on Addison Cain's She Came Before God. I will edit as I read more of them. But this story. Oh lord, what can I say?! I was traumatized. Horrified. Stunned. Different from Addison Cain's usual material, her contribution to the anthology Twisted Sacrament is straight traumatizing horror. How do you write a review about something like this? Addison usually includes some level of HEA in her dark, dark, dark romances (or this is what I have known to be true) but it seems that in She Came Before God and Catacombs, she has developed a taste for the horrifying. A scary, twisted tale of innocence destroyed and blooming terror. 5/5 squicked out and simultaneo Different from Addison Cain's usual material, her contribution to the anthology Twisted Sacrament is straight traumatizing horror. Sinners have a Soul too..... SAY YES by Ashleigh Giannoccaro (5+⭐) This story is amazing. It's dark, it's twisted, it's omg I can't believe what I just read good. It's that story, that makes you cringe and gasp at what's happening. Say Yes is about a group of people, that believe in what they think is right and want everyone and all to fall in line. They want to have all the blessings, but go about it the wrong way. This story is one of Ashleigh's best and happy I read it. LILITH'S REVENGE by Zoe Bl Sinners have a Soul too..... Those are the questions you will be asking yourself after you've finished this story. Is he or isn't he? Lilith's Revenge is twisted. You will thank you'll know how's it's going to end, but nope. I didn't see that ending coming and was shocked. I like the story, it's a good 5 star read for the start of this anthology. LAST RITES by Alta Hensly (3⭐) This story is okay. It is strange and intriguing, to read. This that story, that maybe it's hope at the end, but nope! It's only life. BAPTIZED BY EDEN by Jennifer Bene (4⭐) This story was so disturbing. All the debauchery and sinister things that happens is crazy. I can't even begin to tell you how I feel, it's so dark, twisted and cringe worthy. COMMUNION by Celia Aaron (5+⭐) When you think of dark and twisty, you think of Celia. Her books always always leave you with your mouth hanging open. This story is no different. She delivered on what this anthology is about. It has the right amount of crazy with a twist. I love it! I'M BETTER THAN YOU by S.J.Cole (4⭐) Wow just wow! I can't believe what I just read. The craziness of this story is amazing, nothing gets past and nothing goes unpunished. This story is so deranged, that it makes it laughable. SHE CAME BEFORE GOD by Addison Cain (5+⭐) This story broke me a little. The things that happens is sad. To live with a hatred from others, and than to be thrust into the hands of devils, upon devils, is heart breaking. The sins that happens in this story, makes me want to find everyone in It and crack their heads open, especially the one who was acting nice and trust worthy. FOR GIVE ME FATHER FOR I HAVE SINNED.... I HAVE READ THIS ANTHOLOGY OF ALL THIS DARK, TWISTED, HATEFUL, THINGS THAT ARE AMAZING. EACH STORY HAS AN EPIC STORYLINE, AND GREAT CHARACTERS. SOME OF THEM MADE ME CATCH A TEAR, LAUGH, CRINGE, AND SCRUNCH MY FACE. I APPLAUD THE AUTHORS OF THEIR WRITING. TO MAKE A STORY, AND HAVE THE READER WILLING TO MAKE SACRIFICES FOR THAT STORY IS TERRIFIC. TWISTED SACRAMENT, IS EVERYTHING THAT THE AUTHORS SAID IT WAS. IT'S A SINFUL READ BUT SO AMAZING!

She Came Before God: oh. My. God. This story was so disturbing and all consuming. I couldn’t stop reading it. What a mind you have Addison Cain. I am grateful. I am always trapped by her words and love anything she writes. This will disturb you in the very best way. Now, I’ll definitely need to read the entire book.
